Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute a variety of surveying projects, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and construction stakeout
  • Oversee and coordinate field crews to ensure accurate and efficient data collection
  • Perform and/or supervise construction layout and stakeout for site development projects
  • Review and process survey data and ensure quality control of deliverables
  • Prepare and review survey plans, plats, and legal descriptions

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Crew Chiefs and project managers to complete assignments efficiently
  • Operate and maintain survey equipment such as GPS units, robotic total stations, and field controllers
  • Set up control points, benchmarks, and layout points for construction projects
  • Record accurate field notes and ensure proper data collection

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training or coursework in surveying is a plus)

  • Develop construction documents for residential and commercial building permit applications
  • Support stormwater management design, including drainage plans, erosion & sediment control plans, and calculations
  • Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of plans

  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with design revisions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience preferred)
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in CAD, Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering, land surveying, or land development preferred
  • Strong understanding of drafting standards, layering, and annotation

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations
  • Review zoning ordinances and municipal requirements
